It’s that wonderful time of the year again! Dolls house enthusiasts will be twice as busy decorating their dolls houses with festive Christmas miniatures as well as their full-sized houses. Sparkling baubles, tinsel and fairy lights will be bringing good cheer to dolls houses everywhere.
For most miniaturists, making their Yuletide miniatures would have started months ago. Now, it’s that fun time of transforming houses of all scales with garlands, holly, mistletoe and of course, the Christmas tree. Here at Miniatura we’ve been browsing our exhibitors’ creations, past and present to bring you a delightful array of Christmas décor which is sure to get you into that festive mood.
Food glorious food
We all tend to over-indulge at Christmas with chocolates, mince pies, shortbread, gingerbread. Oh, and not forgetting the Christmas cake, and the Christmas pudding…. the list goes on!
Kerry Fawcett of Ella-Rose Miniatures makes all these and more – from sweets and candies to luxury cakes. Kerry began making her handcrafted food when she started her first dolls house around 15 years ago. Once her own kitchen was stocked up, she discovered she enjoying making foodstuffs so much, she kept on going. We love this busy kitchen table with all the Christmas baking in full swing.
