Plan Your Day

A guide to coming to the show

We want to make a visit to Miniatura enjoyable, easy and full of all the best miniatures. This guide will help to give you a good idea of what to expect at the show.

Doors Open at 10.00am (closes at 4pm)

Tickets will be available on the door as long as we have not reached capacity – check our advance tickets page (where you will also find discounts – all advance tickets will go off sale at midnight on Friday before the show).

The show guide is on sale to the queue before we open. The floorplan and listing will be available on this website soon but the show guide includes contact details for every exhibitor which many visitors find invaluable between shows. Show guides are £1 each. We also sell our official Miniatura shopping bags for £3 at the main entrance, perfect for filling with all those lovely miniatures.

Inside the show you will find toilets and public seating. You are also going to find lots and lots of exhibitors. We suggest taking a moment with the floorplan (available in the 2 weeks before the show) to come up with a plan of action!

Some exhibitors make items that are unique and naturally when they are sold they won’t be on the stand any more so if there’s a particular exhibitor you really want to see we recommend using the first part of the day to make a beeline for them! Most exhibitors know what they are doing though and will have plenty of stock for the whole weekend.

Workshops start around midday to give you time to do some shopping, get your bearings and plan which ones you want to do. Pop by the relevant stands for more information.

The cafe will have hot food, sandwiches and drinks. There’s also more public seating for you to rest while you enjoy your refreshments. If you prefer the Farmers Fayre cafe and shop is about 100 yards away.

Disabled Visitors – As a professional exhibition centre, NAEC has accessible toilet facilities. We also make sure our aisles are wider than usual, for everyone’s comfort. We do get more visitors than most events in the hobby so sometimes it can get quite busy, but you should always be able to make your way down the aisles.

Photography The simple rule is – always ask permission. To help things along we will be giving the exhibitors signs that will either say – “no photos” or “please ask” – this way we hope to avoid any confusions. Please also be conscious of any children that appear in your pictures (check with parents / guardians). Once you have got those amazing images feel free to share them online using the hashtag #theminiaturashow. We will have five official Miniatura photographers and film makers in attendance, if you do not want your image shown on social media please let us know on arrival.

Buying miniatures from the exhibitors is normally done by cash or credit card (if the exhibitor has a card reader). There is no cash machine at the venue so please come prepared! The vast majority (about 90%) of the work on show is handmade by the exhibitors you will meet, they are always happy to talk about their work and many of them will be able to consider commissions if you have something special in mind. As organisers we would like to say just how privileged we feel that all these talented makers bring their work to show.

NEW FOR MINIATURA – We were so impressed with the recent BBC TV series “Marvellous Miniature Workshop” – if you haven’t seen it yet – you really really MUST! (It’s still on iPlayer)

We are lucky enough to have three of the marvellous makers from the show in attendance on Saturday 14th March AND they will be taking part in a Question & Answer session for us at 4pm (just after the trading hall closes).  So book your seat to meet Ethan Goodbody, Hannah Lemon and Lee Robinson!

There’s more in this little promo we made – LIVE Q&A with Stars from the BBC’s Marvellous Miniature Workshop #MiniaturaShow #Miniatures #bbc

If you would like to be part of the audience for the Q & A at 4pm on Saturday 14th March get in touch with us by clicking this link – you can even let us know what question you would like to ask – BOOK YOUR PLACE

If that e-mail link doesn’t work with your system here is what it asks for so you can make sure you send us the information we need (office@miniatura.co.uk)
14th March 2026 at 4pm – Q & A – Spaces are limited – First come first served
We will need your name to add to the list and if you have a question you would like to ask be sure to include that too.
There is a limit on the number of people we can accommodate and these places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Your Miniatura ticket does not guarantee entry to the Q & A.
The event will be recorded and added to youtube at a later date.
