Magnificent Handmade Creations
Handmade miniature sweets and cakes.
I always wanted a sweet shop when I was young, and my first real job was working in the sweet department at Lewis’s. Crafting has been part of my life since I was very young. At seven years old I got a job knitting dolls for the local wool shop to earn some pocket money. From that day onwards I have been a crafter, turning my hand to all sorts handicrafts.
I make and sell handmade soap, and about eight years ago I bought some fimo to create some 3d labels for my soaps. I made some jars of mini licorice allsorts for fun with the leftover clay, put them on Etsy and they sold very quickly. So, I embarked on making a sweet jar collection of all my childhood favorites and any other delicious sweet treats I could think of.
I’ve now expanded my range to include cakes, biscuits, larger themed cakes, and miniature presents. I love making in smaller scales and I am always thankful and flattered that other people love my work so much that they actually buy them. Even though each item takes a lot of time and effort to make, in my mind, I am getting paid for playing with clay! Something which brings me great joy and satisfaction.
