Ben of The Pocket Forge is a self taught bladesmith who specialises in miniature swords and other tiny armaments from history and fiction. His work is made using full sized blacksmithing tools. Everything starts in the forge, on the anvil and under the hammer. He uses only traditional materials such as steel, wood and leather, making each piece functional and authentic. He makes a wide range of swords, axes, polearms, daggers, and maces from many different cultures, periods in history, films, games, tv shows and his own head, each piece being unique and taking several hours or days to make.

His path to becoming a miniaturist was a complete accident; living in a small terraced house with too many neighbours meant that scaling down was the only way to practice blacksmithing without being evicted, but fortunately this led to an obsession with tiny swords! He first picked up a hammer in 2015, slowly learning and letting a hobby take over his life until a twist of fate (losing his job) allowed him to make it his full time job in 2023.
