Cinderella
Dressed dolls and kits, dressmaking items, oil paintings. German miniatures, dragonfly kits, 1/48th furniture.
Silvia Leiner of Germany has been supplying collectors and miniaturists with handcrafted dressed and undressed miniature dolls, doll kits and everything necessary to dress dolls and create soft furnishings for a dolls house for the last 25 years.
Silvia of Cinderella Mode in Miniatur (Fashion in Miniature) returned to Miniatura for the Autumn 2019 Show after an 8-year break, bringing with her, her German styled furniture in 1/48th scale. Inspiration for her furniture has come largely from the Jugendstil style of furniture that was popular in Germany from about 1895 to 1910. In contrast to the dark furniture styles of previous eras, this furniture was painted white, and at her home in Munich, she has some antique items in full size as well as her miniatures, such as an 1894 kitchen dresser which belonged to her family in Stuttgart, Germany.
She has also been hugely inspired by the world-famous dolls house maker, Moritz Gottschalk (1892-1931) after his original factory illustrations came to light and were published – much to the delight of dolls house lovers everywhere.
Please visit her website to see the full range of items she makes and sells which includes curtains, pillows, bedding, tablecloths and all other textiles. There is a huge range of ready-made accessories, toys, Christmas and Easter decorations and a large range of furniture and miniatures in 1/48th scale. Silvia also offers a selection of high-quality miniatures by other, mainly German miniaturists plus craft sets from the American company Dragonfly.
