Allie Parry has been captivated by miniatures since she was just two years old. Her love for the craft was nurtured early on, thanks to her mum, Sue Chadwick, who fondly recalls Allie creating miniature food scenes for her toys using necklace chains as spaghetti and beads as fruits and vegetables.

 

Some of you may remember Sue from the “old days” when she traded under the name Boxing Clever, selling lock-together room boxes. Following in her mum’s footsteps, Allie now trades as Fredona’s Miniature Dreams. The name “Fredona” has a unique family story: when someone couldn’t remember a name, they’d simply call them “Fred.” Allie added her own twist to make it more feminine and whimsical, and thus, Fredona’s Miniature Dreams was born—a reflection of her dreamy nature.

 

Allie began her journey in 2018, crafting realistic-looking food items. As her skills grew, she allowed herself to indulge in her two favourite seasons—Halloween and Christmas. Today, she specialises in all things spooky and festive, from witch’s shelves and cauldrons filled with sweets or potions to Christmas fireplaces and dinner tables brimming with holiday treats.
