Mayhem, Magic & Me

The fantasy creations of Alexandra Blythe

Magic, Mayhem and Me

I originally started making miniatures in 1990 and traded for many years as ‘Four Seasons Miniatures’. I ‘retired’ in 2007, and decided to try other art forms, gaining a degree in ‘Art and Wellbeing’ and an MA in Fine Art along the way.

After about 12 years I started to get the itch again and started fiddling about with tiny things, the result being my return as ‘Mayhem, Magic and Me’…featuring a complete new range of items loosely based around the Steampunk, Magic and Fantasy genres (don’t worry, many of the old favourites have reappeared…where else would you get multi-coloured Octopi and bumbling Dodos?) ; every piece still tells a story.

I am still working with polymer clay (41 years on!!!), but now encompass many more materials into my miniatures. Fine leatherwork is a new favourite, along with miniature basketwork, Steampunk style mechanics and even a few fantasy buildings!

From Dragon infested chairs to Plague Doctor Penguins; Diving Helmets to Gin Delivery Bikes; Steampunk Hats to fully loaded Witches’ tables: There’s something for everyone, all the things you didn’t realise you needed.

Here’s to the triumphant return of Miniatura, looking forward to seeing you all!

Oh and I do commissions too, challenge me!!
