I started making miniatures at the beginning of the 90’s, so it’s been quite a journey through this miniature world, one I’ve totally enjoyed. It’s taken me to places I’ve always wanted to go, a lot of American shows in the past, and I’ve met some truly wonderful people along the way, people who changed my life, so I’m very thankful for that.

I’ve made a huge amount of furniture over the years, I used to keep a list to give to people, but that went by the way quite some time ago, it was getting too large to get together, my personal catalogue and list is now over 600 pieces, and I can reproduce any of them if requested, of course a stock of any where near this total is just impossible, so I make just what comes into my thoughts on any given day.

My furniture isn’t straight copied from full size examples, I take inspiration from some and there are some elements you can see , but generally I design the pieces from scratch , the vast majority of pieces being unique new designs.
I’m of the mind that I don’t want to shrink an actual full size piece down to 1/12th, id rather think that someone will upscale a miniature to life size.

I love attending shows, the atmosphere, the buzz, it’s wonderful, and meeting the other artists, there’s so much talent out there, I’m in awe of their skills, couldn’t even single someone out, everyone has their something, we all have a space to fill.
I have a wonderful workshop at home, it’s fully equipped with every comfort and tool I may need and of course ridiculously handy.

Over the years, my interest has come and gone in making furniture, it’d be impossible, I think, to not expect some fluctuations, though this present interest has been with me for a few years now, i sometimes can’t make a design fast enough to get to the next idea that’s come along, I can only hope this continues to be the case!
