In October 2023, after 4 years of model making as a hobby, I decided to take the big leap and leave my full-time job in Engineering to pursue my passion. What originally started with a rough version of a miniature Christmas village many years ago has since developed into Mon Studios, my company aimed at bringing miniature models to life whether it be for use in film, architecture or simply for the purpose of nostalgia.

Taking anywhere from a week to multiple months, I meticulously research, design and create the models by hand, using 3D printing and laser cutting, to help create the highest quality miniatures. And whilst I’m not tied down to a specific time period, some of my recent work has taken inspiration from the 70s, 80s and 90s, which may come as a shock to you when I say I was born in the year 2000.

Since starting Mon Studios, model making has taken over multiple rooms in my parents’ family home to their delight, to include the garage, bathroom and spare room. I have promised that I’ll move out eventually.

My experience in engineering means I have a more calculated approach to model making, where I can guarantee scale, perspective, textures and finishes are optimised. I take great pride being involved in this creative industry, surrounded by such talented individuals, where no model is too small and the possibilities are unlimited.
