Nietzsche Miniatures

I started making miniatures as a hobby around 10 years ago, I was looking for a new creative interest, so I brought a simple 1:24th scale dolls house kit and became immediately addicted to the world of miniatures. I am a trained jeweller and Forensic scientist so have always had an eye for small detail, these skills have helped me in my miniature journey. I decided to become a fulltime miniaturist in September 2024.

I create items in 1:12, 1:24 and 1:48th scale, I prefer the smaller scales as I like the challenge of creating tiny, detailed pieces. I create pieces from scratch as well as building up kits and adding my own personal touch with handmade accessories.

I work from home in my own workspace where I work in many different mediums depending on what I am making, I work in card, paper, metal, polymer clay, resin, acrylic and fabric.

My inspiration comes a lot from fantasy and my work quite often has a spooky gothic feel, but I also like to create beautiful pieces that have a lot of detail. I am quite a perfectionist with my work and if I am not content with a piece I will start again. I am constantly trying different mediums and learning new skills to improve my creations.

My work is mainly furniture and accessories in 1:48th, 1:24th and 1:12th scale, I make miniature food mainly in 1:48th scale, plants in 1:48th and 1:24th scale and dolls in 1:48th and 1:24th scale.

My dolls are hand made from Polymer clay and then I dress them with fabric. A lot of time and detail goes into making each doll as there are a lot of different processes involved.

The most amazing part of making miniatures is to hear how happy someone is with my work.
