Ray Storey Lighting

Handmade Dollhouse lighting in a Brass or Bronze finish, including Victorian, Tudor and Georgian.

Ray Storey Lighting

Based in the North East’s Tyne & Wear area, Ray Storey Lighting ensures that dolls houses are well lit whether they’re modern, Victorian, Georgian or Tudor houses. All of his light shades are mouth blown and all of his brass furnishings are hand turned. You’ll find unique, high quality chandeliers, wall lights, gas pendants, table lights and more. He’s also sticking to his roots in continuing to make chemistry and laboratory products, only now in 1/12th scale. Ray’s excellence in this specialised field of miniatures comes from an apprenticeship working as a glassblowers in the laboratory and scientific glassware industry – where precision was paramount.

He later set up a shop on the sea front with fellow apprentice glassblower Phil Grenyer of Glasscraft UK who was also making scientific laboratory instruments. Eventually they went their own separate ways, with Ray specialising in the lighting side of dolls houses while Phil went for the more decorative side of things.

After years of being involved in the world of Doll House Miniatures many of you now will have heard that Ray Storey has now retired. He does however have several stock items still available including ‘The Street’ (pictured above in detail and in full below) which was used to promote his lights & chemistry glassware. The Street featured over many years of attendance at Miniatura both at the NEC & Stoneleigh Park is now being offered for sale. Anyone expressing an interest please contact Ray on the email above.
