A range of miniatures, including mini basketry and polymer clay food items.
I was prompted to start making miniatures for my mum’s dollhouse and have been crafting them for around 5 years from my desk at home.
I like making an eclectic mix of items and I love the challenge of working out how to recreate an item in miniature. I especially like making organic items like fruit and vegetables.
When I start a project I usually spend some time researching – including creating a mood board of reference pictures, ideas for techniques and finishes, and where possible studying the real item.
Favourite materials include polymer clay, silicone mold putty, chalk pastels, found items, and thread and wire for basketry.
