Our Editor
Kat Picot has been immersed in the world of miniatures for over fifteen years starting out as a Saturday girl for a specialist doll’s house shop (dream job!). Kat began her career in hobby and craft publishing.Later she spent 5+ years working with digital and design agencies in London whilst continuing to pursue miniature projects and running an online miniatures store Four Little Walls. Mini highlights include appearing on Channel 4 with a bespoke doll’s house and more recently collaborating with the V&A Museum of Childhood hosting an accessible doll’s house workshop.
Kat’s first mini love is 1:!2 scale and eternally unfinished doll’s house projects; including a Georgian mansion and the renovation of a pre-loved Greenleaf, Garfield Victorian Farmhouse. The latter being an eBay find and was so impossibly big that it had to be cut in half to fit through any doorway of the house! Kat lives her best miniature life vicariously through the incredibly talented makers and contributors of Shrunk magazine.
