Miniatura

Handmade knitted clothes for 1/12^th and 1/24^th scale dolls using fine quality cottons(many different colours).The dolls are handmade in porcelain and are made in England by a very skilled doll maker. I can also knit for your own dolls, or clothes for your specific requirements or commission.

Other items include blankets, bedspreads, hats and scarves. Recent orders have been sent to USA, Belgium and France, postage is additional and will be sent securely packaged and using tracking, usually Royal Mail. A little history

I started miniature knitting after I hurt my back and couldn’t use my sewing machine. My first miniature was a dress for a lady in my own dolls house, then I was hooked.

About 3 years ago I was asked to dress some 1/24th scale dolls for a school room in uniform, which was very successful, and last year I was asked to make some dresses for some honey bees from a customers hive, she is an artist and has had another 20 since. They were very tiny, even smaller than 1/24th.​

I had been to Miniatura several times but only as a visitor, not really believing I could actually take part, so I am delighted to now be an exhibitor. My sitting room is my workroom, and I knit every evening plus afternoons when possible. I love miniature knitting and will have a go at anything asked of me.
