The scale of the engine on these working model railways is 1/900 which makes it approximately 00 railway gauge for a 1″ scale dollhouse, the standard model railway gauge that might have been built in the attic or spare room.

The train runs on the custom built ‘track’ and around the landscaped scenery. Power is provided by either a nine or twelve volt transformer or using the supplied nine volt battery clip and via a jack plug point at the rear. There are cut out notches at each corner underneath to enable legs to be added thus making it into a table layout. Model size is either 4 inches by 4 inches or seven inches across the width and four inches deep. Larger sizes can be made and quotes provided.
Typically the cost for a custom built railway is from £250 for the 4 X 4 and £280 for the 4 X 7, this depends on the level of detail required and any elements added such as working lights, animated figures in the scenery, and realistic train sounds. P&P for the UK is usually Free. I will be happy to quote for International postage.
When a new railway is ready for purchase it will be listed on my Facebook public page and advertised on Etsy or Ebay links are provided above. These are usually much cheaper than a custom built layout.
