Miniatura

I’ve always made things since childhood. Being an only child, make believe was a big part of my life.

In 2020 I made a fairy house from clay and then went on to create my first walnut diorama ‘in a nutshell’.

I also built model RC boats with my husband and miniatures took a back seat until 2022 when I joined a local miniatures group, Small Scale Fiddlers.  in April 2023 I lost my husband and needed to occupy my time. I discovered coconuts and other items we ideal to make miniature worlds and scenes inside, and I’ve been crafting them ever since.

I’m only a hobbyist, not a business so I use my spare room as a workshop. A coconut can take between 4 hours to a couple of days to create.
My inspiration just comes from my random thoughts. I don’t plan my work, it just happens.
