Timea P Vajonne Dolls (Enchantedolls)
OOAK Miniature Polymer Clay dolls.
My name is Timea P Vajonne. I am from Hungary and have been living in England since 2005. I always had an artistic flair as a child, drawing, sewing and making things all the time .
I came across a miniature exhibition in one of our visits to historical places. The details and creativity of the makers amazed me. So I started to do some research, that is when I discovered polymer clay and my obsession with making dolls started ….
I enjoy creating little hand sculpted figures, with character, from scratch and inspired by real life. Each figure is created with a little story in mind, hoping to put smile on everyone faces. I have been making dolls since 2011. I am self taught, always learning and evolving.
All dolls are fully handmade pieces 1:12 scale, made of puppen fimo. No mold or cast is used throughout the making process which means that all of my dolls are one of a kind.
Once the pieces have been baked, they are smoothed by sandpaper, then painted with Genesis heat set paint. The wigs are made of mohair or viscose and the clothes from a variety of materials. These dolls are fixed in their position, most are balanced so they stand without the aid of a support.
I was so proud to become an IGMA Artisan in 2021.
In 2023 I was delighted to be commissioned by Channel 5 to make 15 dolls for their new TV show “Toy Hospital”. It’s all about repairing cherished childhood treasures.
