Dolls.

The inhabitants after which our houses are named.

Whether yours is alive with the bustle of activity, or perhaps rooms lie vacant…. an unfinished jigsaw, an abandoned book… there is always space for a little doll.

A plaything…. not a person.

A toy doll, beloved of imaginative children.

I have been making tiny toy doll’s dolls for over 30 years. None are bigger than 2” tall and most are considerably smaller.  Created for the discerning doll’s house child they are many weeks in the making, starting as a few thimblefuls of porcelain slip, and emerging via numerous bisque and china paint firings to don costumes from the 1700s through to the extravagant doll fashions of the late 19th century.

I use only the finest silks and the most delicate trimmings to embellish tiny hand-sewn jackets and dresses.  Soft ringlet curls form pretty coiffeurs.  Minute flowers and downy feathers decorate elegant bonnets.  Everything, from their silk underwear to dainty, leather-soled silk shoes, is completely handmade.

Each doll comes nestled in a bespoke, tissue-lined box, complete with a certificate of authenticity.  No two dolls are ever the same.

Selected dolls are also available as kits, with everything included to make a little dressed doll, along with fully illustrated, step-by-step instructions.
