Happy New Year from all the team here at Miniatura, we’re hoping that 2023 will be a good year for everyone in every way possible – health, happiness and success.

We were delighted to have hit the headlines in the December 2022 issue with three articles in Dolls House & Miniature Scene Magazine.  Not only did the articles cover Miniatura’s Autumn Show itself, but a number of our miniaturists had some of their work showcased. Possibly some of you won’t have seen the photos, so browse the pages now and see what and whose work you recognise. There was a Christmas theme – naturally!

The third article covered the visit by some of the contestants in the Great Big Tiny Design Challenge that many of us watched on TV last year with our own Michael R Miniatures being one of the finalists. I wonder what 2023 has in store for all you miniaturists?

As a little ‘heads up’ Tanis Law’s tiny model railway layouts should be in a future DHMS magazine and more familiar faces in future issues, we’re hoping.

It’s not all about making professional miniatures – we’re hoping to feature lots of your ‘pride and joy’ dolls houses – quirky projects, half-finished works of art and dolls houses perhaps in their very early stages by hobbyists new to the game! So don’t be shy in letting us know what you’re getting up to!
