Well, the Miniatura weekend came and went and I’m sure an awful lot of us were feeling even more saddened knowing what we could have been doing. But it was the right decision, and of course since then the Government’s policy to cancel every kind of social event and close venues just goes to show that Andy was ahead of the game in postponing the show. So let’s hope we can all keep calm and carry on collecting and creating.

Looking Ahead

Everyone behind the scenes at Miniatura is hoping and praying that this dreadful situation will ease up soon, and obviously hoping that all our exhibitors and supporters are staying safe, well and healthy. While everyone was disappointed that the Spring Show didn’t happen, there’s plenty to look forward to – the Autumn Show in September and the Spring Show which will take place in 2021. And we have a brand-new website!

Makers Keep Making

It’s also good to know that our talented miniaturists are keeping busy creating lovely new dolls house miniatures which you can discover on their websites, Facebook pages and Etsy Shops. Do please browse the gallery right here on Miniatura’s new website to see what people are making. There’s an absolutely wealth of incredible miniatures in 1/12 scale, 1/24, 1/48 and a few who are going even smaller. Perfect for those who are putting a dolls house within a dolls house.

Of course, looking at miniatures online isn’t as exciting as seeing the real thing, picking them up and handling them, but for the time being, we shall have to do just that. So, here are just a few who are keeping calm and carrying on making those miniatures. We’ll feature more soon.
