Show Specials
We try to include everything but we are bound to miss something (some artists come up with these ideas the day before the event!) so, even with this list, you will still find some things at the show to surprise you! The list below is in no particular order, so scroll down and enjoy, there are links to each exhibitor gallery page should one take your interest.
We also have a list of exhibitors who offer a pre-order service.
This next show is our 100th event in our 41st year and it seems to have inspired exhibitors to go the extra mile. Please follow, visit and support these craftspeople who need your custom to keep doing the amazing things they do.

Ayari Tudor-Jones has appeared at MIniatura a couple of times and, along with husband Nick, has always inspired visitors. This time they have pulled out all the stops and teamed up with two other generations of makers to create a super spooky haunted house. It doesn’t stop there though as next door to Ayari will be “Nick’s Tricks” as her husband shows how to add texture using styrofoam.

The gold carriage style clock has a glass domed face and celebrates both the 100th Miniatura and the 100th anniversary of the GMT ‘Pips’ broadcast on the BBC in 1924!
All the way from Ireland come Lorraine & Ann with heaps of useful advice about building kits and finishing models. This is delivered in a friendly and high spirited good humour that will cheer even the most serious of collectors. Why not learn something and have fun at the same time?
Product Launch
Creative Dolls Houses – John Dowsett has been making houses for over 30 years but is still always coming up with something new. At this show you will be seeing stained glass panels in some of his doors. There will no doubt be other surprises on his stand (smoking chimneys!!) but we think this is worth a visit all on it’s own!
Belinda Armstrong has brought her lovely house and wealth of experience to the show a few times now and it is always a hit with visitors.
WHB Miniatures – Have you ever wondered how the makers go about their craft? The shows offer an excellent opportunity to see some craftspeople doing what they do best, with the added bonus that you can ask them questions. Wendy will be hard at work over the weekend making more intricate cushions.
Jane Laverick has been a huge supporter of Miniatura over the years and we knew she would be doing something special. However, even we were amazed by just how many stops she has pulled out for our 100th event. She has 100 mini-slices of cake on 100 mini-plates for the first 100 customers on each day. She will also have lots of new smaller, pocket money, items for customers to buy!
Jacqueline Wheatley is a name familiar to many collectors. She has shown her delightful luggage and jewellery at many shows (particularly MGM Fairs). This will be her very first Miniatura!
Leo from Entranced Glassworks has taken to glass blowing with an impressive enthusiasm. We have all been amazed at how far he has come in such a short time. We are delighted to announce that for the first time in Miniatura history (and possibly in the history of dolls houses shows) there will be a live glass blowing demonstration!
Birdhouse Miniatures have been avid makers for years but have decided to take the plunge into selling their micro scale bespoke miniatures.
We all know that a tricky job can become easy with the right tool and Harvey Supplies have got just the thing!
Honey I Shrunk The House – Ellie is one of those makers who loves to turn her hand to multiple disciplines.. and also… who can resist a troll??
The Miniature Needlework Society have been part of the show from when they began and they have thrown down the gauntlet to their members to create 100 miniature cushions to spell out “Miniatura”. We hope to have it proudly on display at the entrance to the show, so watch out for it there. That should inspire you to visit their stand and get involved in this wonderful community of passionate needleworkers!
At the last show Sweet Briar Rose Miniatures debuted as an exhibition only stand. The reaction from visitors was overwhelmingly positive and has given them the confidence to come back with the added bonus that you can buy from them too now!
Have you met Bev & Roy? They are the fictional couple created by Becky at Scrappy Create and many many miniaturists are enjoying their mini-saga online. Becky also happens to make miniatures as well as stories. You can meet Bev, Roy and Becky on her stand at the next show
You can always expect to see a demonstration and new products launched at Miniatura on the Petite Properties stand but this time .. there’s even more. They created a brand new magazine this year dedicated to promoting the smaller scales, it’s brilliant, and they will no doubt have the latest issue for sale. If that wasn’t enough we also hear they plan to have a special extra something for customers at this event!
Kelly makes delicious (don’t eat it!) miniature food and she will be attending Miniatura as The Brighton Miniaturist for the first time. You may also know her as the person that curates an advent calendar that brings together a group of quality makers.
So many people come to miniatures via a need to escape from real life stress and some discover a new talent in the process. This is what happened to Quynh Anh as she was studying to become a Doctor in Philosophy. Visit her stand at the show to see her creations!
Mynute Miniatures – Susan Harris will be bringing delicate paper cut flowers and books to the show for her first stand. She is also planning some eerie woodland scenes, we can’t wait to see them!
Inspired by the ever increasing world of micro miniatures (yes we realise how ironic that sounds) Linda Carroll from Shrunken World has embraced the technology of 3D printing to express her imaginative ideas.
Queen Elizabeth Dolls Houses – Kit Meggitt’s stand is often where people discover they can actually make things for the first time. She has a wonderful way of inspiring newcomers (and old hands!) to “have a go”. For this show she has made the mistake of joking that she would bring 100 houses and immediately inspired herself to meet the challenge! She will also be showing visitors how to make a variety of different flowers.
